Cheap eggs at Walmart

Hi everyone

Just a quick heads up. If you're looking for a decent price on eggs, try your local Walmart. I price checked all my local grocery stores and found 18ct eggs for $4.38 at Walmart. Kroger & Sams both charge $6.19 - 6.38 (don't even ask about Meijer's price). Needless to say, I bought 3 packs. I read that more birds will be killed off due to Avian flu, so chances are egg prices might increase again (I hope not, because we seen a reduction in prices).

On another note - I'm sick ....AGAIN! I'm so over this nonsense. I have the flu this time (thankfully no 3 weeks covid). I decided to ditch my face mask 2-3 weeks ago. I figured it was useless since I got covid 3 times within the course of a year, despite wearing a mask & being cautious. Well, that came to bite me in the behind, because I ended up getting the flu. I've spent the entire week in bed already. My whole body is so stiff, especially my hips (that's so weird). Everything's just sore and non-stop sneezing.  I don't like this at all, because there's so much to do for my move. I'm just going back to wearing a mask again. I don't care if people think I'm nuts. It sure beats getting sick.

I'm thankful that I bought those 12pk tissues at Sams when it was still $10.xx. It sure has come in handy & the price has increased to $16.xx. Yikes! I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for good deals at the grocery store, because I only have 1 x 12pk left.

I'm off to bed again peeps. Have a wonderful day!

  1. I have always worn a mask in public since covid began and I sanitize my hands upon returning to my vehicle. I do not care a whit what anyone else thinks about my mask wearing; I will probably never stop now that it is my new norm. I have not had covid or even a sniffle in years. It feels wonderful to be old and healthy. The prevalence of viruses, pneumonia and tuberculosis is real. We live in a crowded world and you can't trust the person next to you to be conscientious about sanitation. I hope you feel better soon but remember how miserable you feel now when you decide whether to wear a mask in future.

  2. So sorry to hear you are sick again. That is what happened to the big guy. Sick for almost two weeks before Christmas with the flu and then in January sick for a week with bronchitis. So many viruses going around. I hope you're over this soon.
The chickens here are laying again so I picked up three dozen eggs yesterday. They charge 2.00 a dozen and you can't beat that, especially for fresh farm eggs. Luckily all winter I've only had to buy 1 dozen at the store when they slowed down laying eggs.

  3. Don't beat yourself up about the mask, as study after study has found them to be useless due to the size of the droplets. It's more about sanitizing, rubbing eyes, nose, mouth; as well as your immune system. The masks were found in many studies (AZ) to be more harmful as you are breathing all the germs in high concentrations due to them being trapped in the masks. The flu is sucky - but you're better off breathing clean, fresh air and finding some sunshine. :)

  8. I may wear a mask forever! I have not have had covid or the flu. Of course, I am sick all the time it seems. I have had a fever for four weeks, taking antibiotic and getting worse. The doctor says it takes a long time to get over this cold going around.

I don't care what people think about my mask. I was mocked by a friend when I said I forgot my mask and was in an open air market wiht people elbow to elbow. She waved her hand in the air and said, "Oh, Linda, it is just air."
My hips, shoulders, knees and elbows hurt when I get really ill.

  11. So sorry that you are sick once again. I started wearing a mask again after I got a really bad cold, but only wear it in crowded situations.

    God bless.
